Allyson has been working hard to achieve a career milestone: becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. This week, it became official. She's now a CFP® Professional!

Of more than 600,000 people around the country who are advisors, only about 13% are CFP®s. Of that number, only 23% are women. Even more uncommon is the fact that we are one of only 4 firms in Chattanooga that are members of NAPFA.

Here are the requirements to become a CFP®:

A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ has, at a minimum:

  • An undergraduate degree

  • At least three years of client experience in financial planning

  • Completed a financial planning education program including:

    • General Principals of Financial Planning

    • Insurance Planning

    • Investment Planning

    • Income Tax Planning

    • Retirement Planning

    • Estate Planning

    • Interpersonal Communication

    • Professional Conduct and Fiduciary Responsibility

  • Passed a rigorous comprehensive exam (historical pass rate of 55-60%)

  • Completed a required 30 hours of continuing education hours bi-annually

  • Committed to adhering to the standards of ethics and practice outlined in the CFP Board’s Standards of Professional Conduct

Please join us in celebrating Allyson's accomplishment!
